Hergest Handmade Handbags are all made by me, Elinor Fielder - hello. 

I began sewing at an early age, my mother tells me I made my first dress at 8 - hopefully things have improved since then! I have been making handbags and Tote bags for friends and for presents for years now and have been persuaded to take my love of making them further - and so created Hergest Handmade Handbags in 2010.

I have always been interested in textiles and colour and have put this passion into practice, spending a lot of my time looking for special fabrics and embellishments for all my HHH bags. You are always guaranteed something interesting and unique...

I learnt to sew on my Grandmother's Singer fly-wheel sewing machine (C1911)  and many of my bags are still made on it or by hand in my cottage studio in rural Herefordshire overlooking the stunning Hergest Ridge and Offa's Dyke - where I also live with my husband and 2 children.
