With the launch of my new website comes lots of exciting times.
I have had the most fantastic last 18 months with Hergest Handmade Handbags. The sales have been incredibly positive to the point that I have been able to purchase myself a log cabin for my dedicated studio. It has arrived this week. So I am understandably quite excited.
I have lots of plans for my log cabin and I hope to be able to hold open days starting in the spring so that the many people who have expressed an interest can come and see how and where I work.
Today I have a digger digging a trench for the cabling for electric and telephone cabling as my cabin is 60 meters away from the cottage.
While this is happening I am looking out from the window of my cottage where I have taken over one the sitting rooms and I am sewing Tote bags for the winter season. Working with the tweed fabrics as the weather closes in is so comforting. I am currently surrounded by Heather Tweed from the Isle of Mann, though I am distracted by the beautiful Vintage buttons which I bought at the weekend.
I must focus on finishing these bags as I shall be exhibiting with the Artisans at Hay on Saturday 12th of November which of course tells me that Christmas is coming. So why not come along to Hay-on-Wye on that date, check out my website or my events page to see I'll be for those Handmade Christmas gifts.
