A nice day out.

May 01 2012

Today I did my first after dinner speech / demonstration which wasn't in front of a mirror!

I was, very kindly, invited by the Bugatti Owners Club Ladies  A.K.A.Lady Bugs to be their after Lunch speaker on their annual Ladies outing which took place at Hergest Croft Gardens.

We had a private tour of the gardens and a delicious lunch and then I talked about my journey which got me to this company.

I explained some of the processes used in making my bags. I demonstrated making a bag and some purses and I demonstrated on my lovely old sewing machine, Which in Vintage car terms would be classed in an Edwardian / Light Cars section.

Some of the Ladies present had journeyed to Kington in their Vintage Bugatti's. Impressive considering the ghastly weather we've had. One Lady came from Kent in her Bugatti.

A very pleasant day out. I shall of course be returning to Prescott race course for the Bugatti race meets this year and I shall be at Hergest Croft Garden for their flower fair on Monday 7th May 2012

March 2012

Finally, I've been good and added all the Press cuttings from the end of last year. I had  forgotten just how many I'd popped up in.

It looks like I'm going to have a busy year this year. I've already booked in to do lots of Vintage car events which I always enjoy. Check out my events page to see where . Plus it's always worth checking back as I often add further events.

My log Cabin is looking great now after it's first winter.  All that extra insulation sure did the trick.

I'm really looking forward to the leaves breaking through in the trees around my house and log cabin it's going to look fantastic.

Tonight I shall be at Herefordshire's Fashion showcase At Burgoynes. It looks set to be a fantastic evening!

10 September 2011 I took my marquee for it's 2nd outing. I won first prize for my little marquee. Thanks Kington Show. X

P.S. One of many selections of er retro wall paper at my new cottage.

Log cabin

Nov 03 2011

With the launch of my new website comes lots of exciting times.

I have had the most fantastic last 18 months with Hergest Handmade Handbags. The sales have been incredibly positive to the point that I have been able to purchase myself a log cabin for my dedicated studio. It has arrived this week. So I am understandably quite excited.

I have lots of plans for my log cabin and I hope to be able to hold open days starting in the spring so that the many people who have expressed an interest can come and see how and where I work.

Today I have a digger digging a trench for the cabling for electric and telephone cabling as my cabin is 60 meters away from the cottage.

While this is happening I am looking out from the window of my cottage where I have taken over one the sitting rooms and I am sewing Tote bags for the winter season. Working with the tweed fabrics as the weather closes in is so comforting. I am currently surrounded by Heather Tweed from the Isle of Mann, though I am distracted by the beautiful Vintage buttons which I bought at the weekend.

I must focus on finishing these bags as I shall be exhibiting with the Artisans at Hay on Saturday 12th of November which of course tells me that Christmas is coming. So why not come along to Hay-on-Wye on that date, check out my website or my events page to see I'll be for those Handmade Christmas gifts.

If you're looking for sourcing the perfect gift for that special someone, why not get them a truly unique bag, purse or Tote from HHH. Please check out my Events page here...
